I am working on a few longer posts at the moment, but I thought I would drop in quick to say I’m still here!

We finally got around to getting the majority of our garden out at the barn weeded. This means we can actually see our potatoes, onions, turnips and carrots… And the few (tiny) beets that survived the gophers, the birds and the hail! Most things have come back very well from the hail beating earlier in the month. All the weeds around them may have helped protect them from the hail.

The photo is of one of the turnips I pulled to thin out… It looks to be 3 plants that all grew together. We also discovered that we have quite a few rouge turnips growing amount our rows. We should get a decent turnip crop!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet, mostly about plants in my Zone 3/4 garden in Alberta, Canada. I also dabble in many different crafty pursuits although I haven’t documented them on here very well for many years.
